CONVERSION OF ROOF AND SHUTTERS

Conversion of roof and shutters in existing building
-
Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules,
the Secretary may permit the conversion of thatched
roof with tile or asbestos or cement sheet or
light sheet or tin sheet and vice versa and conversion
of wooden shutters with rolling shutters or rolling
grills or collapsible shutters or to install the
same in any building existing at the commencement
of these rules without any structural change or
area increase.

Certain provisions not to apply
General
provisions regarding distance from central line
of road, set backs, coverage, floor area ratio
and dimensions with regard to building parts,
light and ventilation shall not apply to works
under this chapter.
(93)
Submission of application and its disposal
Application
shall be submitted in white paper, typed, or written
in inks, affixed with necessary court fee stamp
along with document to prove ownership.
There shall be no application fee for conversion
of roof and application fee for conversion or
installation of shutter shall be as in Schedule-I
The Secretary shall, if convinced of the boundaries
and bonafides of the ownership, issue permit after
collecting the permit fee a shown in Schedule
- II.
(94) Validity of permit and renewal
The
permit shall be valid for 6 months form the date
of issue and may be renewed for a further period
of 6 months by filing an application in white
paper, typed or written in ink and affixed with
necessary court fee stamp.
The application for renewal shall be submitted
within the valid period of the permit and the
renewal fee shall be fifty percent of the permit
fee.

Completion of work to be reported
The
applicant shall report the completion of the work
to the Secretary in white paper, typed or written
in ink, specifying the date of completion.
